Academic Russian–speaking Community Abroad

RASA Mentorship Program

RASA’s networking and mentoring mechanism for scholars in need is a cornerstone of the association’s commitment to supporting scholars who have been displaced or forced to relocate due to conflict, persecution, or political instability. Through the Science Community platform, RASA connects these at-risk researchers with experienced peers and advisors across disciplines—offering free, professional guidance and fostering a sense of solidarity within the global Russian-speaking academic diaspora.

This initiative transcends typical mentorship: it builds bridges between scholars working in the humanities, social sciences, and hard sciences, empowering them to navigate new challenges, continue their work, and rebuild their academic networks. By providing personalized support—from advice on academic publishing to strategies for adapting to unfamiliar environments—RASA strengthens not only individual careers but also the resilience and cohesion of its scholarly community.
